Suicide Prevention Training in Texas
There are many suicide prevention training opportunities offered in Texas. Listed below are trainings provided through grants to Mental Health America of Texas, and supported by the Texas Department of State Health Services, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, private foundations and donations from the public. These trainings and resources are free, accessible throughout the state, and available online, in-person and via smart phones. They are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of applications and audiences, such as education, mental health professionals, adolescents, young adults and communities.

At-Risk Online Training for Texas Colleges and Universities
Interactive At-Risk Suicide Prevention Training for Texas college and university faculty and students can be downloaded at no cost for Texas students and faculty. 1- hour trainings to help identify common signs and symptoms of psychological distress and have the confidence to take appropriate action, such as a referral for counseling.
